About Andy

I grew up with a father who could draw up plans, transfer them to blueprint paper, and build a project completely from scratch. There was always something being worked on around the house, and that’s where I developed my love for woodworking and home improvement.

I also spent four years working at the Pro Desk at Lowe’s, where I gained valuable experience with construction materials and the home improvement industry. One thing I learned is that materials are constantly evolving and improving to provide better durability and longevity for homeowners.

I believe honesty, integrity, and open communication are essential when handling a customer’s needs, no matter how large or small the project may be.

Much like my partner George mentioned in his biography, he built a pool in his backyard and said all he needed now was a deck to get into it. I told him, “Let’s build one.” He laughed at first and said, “You know how to do that?” My response was, “Absolutely.” And from that moment, And-Geo Deck was born.

Today, we take pride in helping bring our customers’ visions to life by creating outdoor spaces they can enjoy for years to come.

I was born in Hollywood FL and raised in Fairborn Ohio.
When I was three years old, my parents divorced, and my mother spent several years raising three children on her own. Watching her work hard to provide for our family taught me resilience, responsibility, and the value of hard work.

As a kid, I was always active and loved working with my hands. I played soccer, repaired bikes, and built model cars. My older brother worked as an auto body technician and often took me to car shows, which sparked my passion for craftsmanship and mechanical work.

That passion led me to study auto mechanics in high school, where I stayed focused on learning a trade and building a future.

After graduation, I moved from Ohio to Kansas to reconnect with my father. While living there, we worked together cutting wood, and I learned that he was also a dump truck driver. That inspired me to earn my CDL and begin my own trucking career.

Over the years, I built experience in many different trades, including dump truck driving, semi driving, mechanics, roofing, flooring, framing, plumbing, electrical work, and property maintenance. Every job taught me new skills and strengthened my ability to build things the right way.

After moving back to Ohio, I spent 13 years working for a dump truck company, which gave me the stability to buy a home for my family.

That home unexpectedly led to the next chapter of my life.

After installing a pool in our backyard, my friend Andrew helped me build a deck around it. During that project, I realized how much I enjoyed the work and said:

“Let’s build decks for a living.”

That moment became the foundation of And-Geo Deck.

Before launching the company, I studied building codes, structural diagrams, and proper construction standards to ensure every deck we build is safe, durable, and built to last.

Today, Andrew and I take pride in building high-quality outdoor spaces where families can gather, relax, and create memories for years to come.

I’ve spent my life learning how to build, repair, and improve things—and now I bring that same dedication to every deck we build.
